It’s a mutually beneficial arrangement, this. I’ve set myself a monthly deadline to make an illustration each month and show it to people, and you - lovely subscribers - get something nice and arty to look at in your inbox each month.

I’m not sure yet what the illustrations will entail just yet - possibly sneaky peeks of book projects I’m working on, things I’ve seen in the news or just out and about. Suggestions are welcome!

As I said over on instagram, I can’t promise to do this fooreeveeer, and many folks’ email inboxes are bulging with emails these days, including mine. This is a thank you for letting me take up that bit of space that’s in there.

Email newsletters are a great way to stay in touch with Independent businesses. I don’t know about you, but I sometimes miss out on things on the usual places because of the dreaded algorithms (Sorry Insta) so subscribing to a Newsy is a good way of staying in the loop. I like hearing from places like Bunkers Hill Plant Nursery near me in Oxfordshire, one of my favourite places to visit for plants. They often have brilliant deals for their subscribers, and it’s a gorgeous place to visit, with an honesty box for tea and cake. I also get emails from All that Is Braw, run by Eilidh Weir in central Scotland- I’ve had my eye on a pair of her delicious hand-made PJs for ages, but she doesn’t make in bulk, so her newsletter is the best way to hear when she’s making to order.
